AMF understand the increasing pressures schools and Trusts face in keeping safeguarding at the heart of everything they do while balancing the demands of providing high-quality education. Our safeguarding consultancy is designed to give leaders confidence, build skilled safeguarding teams, and ensure practice goes beyond compliance to deliver truly outstanding protection for children and young people. 

Led by our Specialist Safeguarding Consultant and Independent Social Worker, Louise Ryan, who has over a decade of frontline and strategic child protection experience, we provide expert support to more than 30 schools across the UK. Louise brings the latest professional insight from both education and social care, offering advice and solutions that are practical, robust, and compliant with statutory requirements. 

Our safeguarding offer includes:

• Safeguarding Supervision: Regular, structured support for Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs), deputies, and school staff, providing space for reflection, emotional support, and professional guidance, helping to reduce stress while improving outcomes for children.
• Policy and Procedure Development: Creating and reviewing safeguarding frameworks that meet statutory requirements and ensure consistency across schools and Trusts. 
• Safeguarding Audits: Comprehensive compliance reviews aligned with Keeping Children Safe in Education and Working Together to Safeguard Children, giving leaders clear evidence for regulators and identifying areas for improvement.
• Training & Workshops: Bespoke sessions for governors, senior leaders, DSLs, teachers, and support staff, designed to build knowledge, confidence, and the ability to respond effectively to safeguarding concerns. 
• Recording Systems Review: Quality and compliance checks of safeguarding systems to ensure accuracy, consistency and efficiency across settings. 
• Complex Case Support: Independent guidance and investigations for Subject Access Requests (SARs), complaints, and sensitive safeguarding cases.
